The online community spaces seem to have gone a bit greed crazy. Where once we could gather together in virtual rooms for what seemed like a manageable fee, now we are being forced to pay more and more for the privilege of just hanging out.
Screw that, I say!
So, I’ve built this little space for those of you who are tired of the money grabbing and monetisation and who just want to make art and hang out with other artists. To you I say, welcome!
This is a not-for-profit site. I am in a position to offer this at no cost to you and it will remain that way. Think of it as an anarcho-punk coffee/tea room with big virtual spaces where you can pop in, have a natter, show your stuff and feel no obligation to conform to anyone or anything.
If it gets bigger and fuller in the future and I need to pay more for rent, then I might kindly ask for a donation, but I will make it known well ahead of time and will be fully transparent about where any donations go.
THIS IS NOT A BUSINESS
I am doing this purely because I am sick and tired of the subscription model monetisation of all of my favourite places.
You can chat here, organise zoom hangouts, maybe even offer a class or two. My only rule is that you only offer free stuff and do not use this platform to promote your business.
Please also feel free to reach out if you have suggestions for extra features and groups.

Oh yes! This came at such a good time for me. I have felt so ostracized from the online artist community because of the seemingly constant push of monetized content, and everyone seeming to be in the same circles stomping on the heads of those of us who just want a free community.
